👋 Welcome to the World of Hardware Wallets

If you're reading this, you're on your way to securing your digital assets with a Trezor Wallet®. Hardware wallets are the gold standard for crypto safety — offline, private, and user-controlled. This guide will walk you through setting up your Trezor device step-by-step.

📦 Step 1: Unboxing and Verifying

Inside your Trezor package, you'll find:

⚠️ Security Tip: If the box appears tampered with or unsealed, do not proceed. Contact Trezor support.

🔌 Step 2: Connecting to Your Computer

Use the USB cable to connect your device to a secure, malware-free computer. Open your browser and navigate to:

You'll be prompted to download the official app, Trezor Suite®.

⬇️ Step 3: Installing Trezor Suite®

Choose the correct version for your operating system (Windows, MacOS, or Linux), and install it. Open the app and it will automatically detect your device.

💡 Why Trezor Suite? It provides secure access to your portfolio, supports multi-assets, and includes privacy features like Tor and coin control.

🔐 Step 4: Set a Strong PIN

Your device will ask you to set a PIN. This code protects your wallet from unauthorized physical access. Input the code directly on your device screen or buttons, depending on your model.

🧾 Step 5: Write Down Your Recovery Seed

Trezor will generate a unique 12- or 24-word recovery seed. This is the most important step. Write the words down in order using the included recovery card.

🚫 Never store the seed digitally, take photos, or share it online. Anyone with these words can access your funds.
